James "Jimmy" Butler '54 (posthumously)
Jimmy was one of our earliest Crusaders and lettered all four years in basketball and baseball. In 1953 he was named to the All State BAseball Team and his team won the state baseball championship.
Tim Whiting '66
Tim's athletic accomplishments at CMH were many, including a 2 year varsity letter winner in football playing quarterback and defensive back, leading his team in rushing and passing as a senior. He was a 3 year varsity letter winner in basketball and the first Memorial player to score over 40 points in a game. He was a 2 year varsity letter winner in tennis and went on to play varsity tennis at the University of Notre Dame. He received the Fr. Richard Smith award as a senior having won 7 letters in 3 different sports.
Tom Bichanich '73
Tom was an outstanding quarterback his junior and senior year who led Catholic Memorial in back to back conference championships and the WISAA state finals in 1972.
Coach John Bisswurm '77
Coach Bisswurm is celebrating his 35th anniversary as the boys head soccer coach, a program he initiated in 1980 . He has led his teams to a very impressive 3 state championships, 9 state final appearances and 21 state semi-final appearances.
Pat Neder '85
Pat played basketball and softball and was named to all conference teams in both sports. She played on a state champion team in softball. She continued to play both sports at Winona State and was inducted into their Hall of Fame in 2006. Pat also participated in the 1992 and 1996 Olympics where she represented the USA in handball.
Colleen Neels Bayer '95
Colleen was a four year varsity starter for the volleyball team and the first CMH player to win more than 100 matches. Per Coach Ted Schulte she was instrumental in helping establish CMH as a volleyball powerhouse. Colleen went on to star at the University of Wisconsin as well as playing professionally in the USA and Germany. Colleen was assistant volleyball coach at the University of Wisconsin for 7 years and is currently assistant coach at the University of Georgia.
