Catholic Memorial High School was founded in 1949 as a memorial to the 23 young men of St. Joseph’s Parish in Waukesha who gave their lives for their country in World War II. Later, the dedication of the school was extended to six more graduates of Catholic Memorial who died in military service to their country.
